Hello Culture Kids! It's been a while. Today I (Kari) posted on my own personal blog site . I would like to share this with our CKI network. Hope you can find your own inspiration and focal point in your own life journey. -------- A while back I purchased this cute message board in the dollar section at Target, a part of the store I make an appearance in whenever I venture out. I grabbed this board and found some cute shapes and emojis to incorporate with the messages I envisioned. It now hangs on my apartment door above the mirror I check my beautiful face in before I leave each day. The first message I wrote on this board was "Don't be late." At the time, this was the most important thing for me to see when I left my apartment. My consistency with time had been lacking, and I was beginning to see the effects of my lateness in many areas of my life and how it affected those around me to some degree. My name is Amanda Khaukha. I'm one of four. The rest of us are David Khaukha, Kari Wheeler, and Elissa Dale. We all have our own stories you will get to know later. Culture Kids International. What is that?  We are working on it. Well, developing the full picture anyway.  Culture Kids International is born out of the love and dreams of four friends who want to make a lasting impact and long-term contribution in the lives of youth in Uganda, Africa. It is an idea, or lots of ideas, that have been churning in our hearts for a long time. We decided one day that there was enough talking, and we needed to start acting.
